URA FC have on Wednesday confirmed the acquisition of winger Joseph Ssemujju.
The fast and robust forward has been a free agent since leaving Tanzanian outfit Mbeya City FC.
Ssemujju who has formerly played at Vipers SC, Express FC and BUL FC arrives as a remedy for the team’s poor show in the first round.
He will be expected to help in the hunt for goals as the Tax Collectors aim at resuscitation.
He becomes the fourth signing for URA FC in the January transfer window, joining Bruno Bunyaga, Joshua Lubwama Letti and Nicholas Kabonge.
Elsewhere, Ex-Uganda U-20 prodigy Derrick Kakooza has signed for Egypt Premier League side ENNPI, Kawowo Sports can exclusively reveal.
The former Police FC centre forward has been a free agent since leaving Latvia’s Valmiera II side last year.
Kakooza, the Afcon U-20 golden boot winner in 2021 has signed a two and half year contract at the 37 year old Petroleum club that currently lie 16th on the 18-league table with 13 points after 16 games.
The 20-year old was destined to move to Finland side KuPs and even featured in one of their games in January but there has been a twist of events.
At ENNPI, the first major assignment will be to save the club from going down as they seek to remain in the topflight for 22nd successive seasons in the division.
The club has also won two Egyptian Cups in 2005 and 2011.
