Allan Okello won and converted a penalty in the first half to keep KCCA’s pursuit of the league crown alive as they overcome BUL at the MTN Omondi stadium, Lugogo.

The midfielder, on loan from Algeria’s AC Paradou came down under a slight challenge in the area with referee Lucky Kasalirwe pointing to the spot despite protest from the BUL players.

Okello converted to give the Kasasiro the lead which they held on till the final whistle leaving Simeon Masaba still searching for his first league win at BUL FC.

Benjamin Ochan was named Man of the Match as he shut out a couple of BUL efforts to ensure KCCA remain level on points – 49 with leaders Vipers who beat Express 5-2 at Kitende.

KCCA’s last two games are against Busoga United (away) and Soltilo Bright Stars (home).

On the other side, SC Villa remained tied on points -49 with leaders Vipers and second placed KCCA after beating hosts UPDF 2-0 at Military Grounds in Bombo.

Gift Fred and Charles Bbaale scored in the second half to boost the Jogoos title charge and leave UPDF on the brink of relegation.

Gift put the Jogoos in the lead in the 50th minute before Bbaale put the icing on the cake with his 11th goals of the season.

Villa who play Blacks Power and URA at home in their remaining two games stay third on the table due to an inferior goal difference.

Vipers meanwhile kept their position at the summit of the table after walloping visiting Express FC 5-2 at St. Mary’s stadium, Kitende.
Second half substitute Cromwell Rwothomio grabbed a brace to add on earlier strikes from Bright Anukani, Yunus Sentamu and Milton Karisa.

Marvin Oshaba and Joseph Akandwanaho scored the consolation goals for the Red Eagles.

Anukani set the ball rolling in the 15th minute following a penalty after Lumala Abdu was fouled in the area.

Sentamu doubled the lead two minutes later before Akandwanaho halved the deficit five minutes to the break but Karisa extended the lead at the stroke of halftime.

Oshaba put the game back in contention in the 56th minute but Rwothomio put the icing on the cake with two goals inside five minutes scoring in the 81st and 86th minutes respectively.

Vipers are on 49 points same as KCCA and Villa who won their games as well but the Venoms have a superior goal difference.

They visit BUL and host Busoga United in their last two games.
