Ugandan music distribution platform Omziki has announced its official launch in Ghana, marking its expansion into the West African region. The move comes as part of Omziki’s strategic efforts to establish itself as Africa’s leading aggregator, focusing on maximizing revenue and promoting Africa’s vibrant streaming culture.

Omziki has appointed Jonathan ‘Jonilar’ Nii Laryea as the brand’s ambassador and country director for Ghana. The announcement was made on 21 June, highlighting Jonilar’s influential role in the local digital music landscape and his remarkable contributions to the Ghanaian music industry.

With similar companies like EMPIRE, ONErpm, and Tieme already operating in the region, Jonilar’s appointment is expected to drive significant growth and success for Omziki in Ghana and the wider West Africa music market.
