Following many years of successfully organising the UG Hip-Hop awards, the organisers have today launched the 7th edition edition of the UG Hip-Hop awards which promise to be superior to those before.

The edition of these awards will be held on Saturday, 15th June 2023 with the aim of providing a fair platform for all Ugandan Hip-hop acts, through an awards show that showcases the past, present and the future of the genre in Uganda.

According to the organisers, the Ugandan Hip Hop Awards (commonly abbreviated as UGHHA) will celebrate achievements within the Ugandan hip hop culture. The presentation ceremony that will happen at Motive in Bugolobi will feature performances by artists, and some of the awards of more popular interest will be presented.

Organized by UG Hip-Hop Awards with support from now Club Pilsner and co-sponsors including Hennesy, Mountain Dew, and Fenon, the MTN UG Hip-Hop awards seek to celebrate and amplify the growth of the hip-hop music industry which is predominantly comprised of the youth in Uganda.

The UGHHA is a voice for performers, songwriters, producers, videographers, engineers and every other professional who work tirelessly.

The UGHHA, most importantly, is a celebration of a genre that relentlessly pushes the boundaries and uplifts Ugandan culture.
The organisers announced the full list of nominees on their official website on Monday.
This year, the nominations are diverse with some newbies Joyie7star, and media personality Frank Ntambi making the list for the first time.
