Michael Wokoroach took to his social media platforms his statement of retirement from the rugby national team addressing Ian Munyani as the current captain . Ian has also ever side Captained the team in 2019 at the Safari Sevens .
He said ,“ Ndi Muntu Nkowa congratulations mu guy @ianmunyani , I believe in your abilities to lead this team to many champions you are the right .an for the job and am sure Uganda is in safe hands .

Micheal has played with 3 different generations on the national team and 3 generations as well at Heathens rugby club .He started playing rugby in 2022 in high school where he introduced the game to Merryland high school , as soon as he finished high school at St. Lawrence Creamland campus he joined Heathens till date.
With him being the captain for the National Rugby team, Uganda had qualified and plated twice at the world cup winning the last Rugby world cup Sevens in 2022 in Cape town South Africa , played four times at the common wealth games and Captained the team that won the African Rugby sevens that were hosted in Uganda in April 2022 beating 13teams .
His journey on the National team has been full of victorious moments since he has played the longest with the boys and they called him father .
