On the 3rd of May 2024, Zedmonk Ssabatontomi the renowned Ugandan rapper, will embark on a remarkable challenge to break the Guinness world record for the longest rap marathon.
Zedmonk, who is not only Uganda’s youngest male most internationally nominated rapper, is widely recognized for his exceptional freestyle skills and his influential role as the CEO of TRT Entertainment Africa.
Additionally, he is an influencer with Rap Adverts, a successful entrepreneur and a dedicated humanitarian.
The record he is looking forward to breaking is currently held by a Japanese rapper named Poney who bagged the milestone on the 22nd of April, 2023 and stands at an impressive 48hours, 1minute and 10 seconds.
However, Zedmonk aims to surpass this feat by rapping for a staggering of 55 hours. This duration equates to approximately two days and five hours making it an incredibly challenging endeavor for anyone who may wish to attempt it in future.
During his record-breaking attempt, Zedmonk will adhere to specific rules regarding rest periods. He will be allowed to a mere 5 minutes of rest after every hour of continuous rapping or 20 minutes of rest after every four hours. These strict guidelines further emphasize the immense dedication and perseverance required to achieve such a remarkable feat.
As he prepares to make history on 3rd of May 2024, the world eagerly awaits to witness this extraordinary rap marathon.
