Ddungu Derrick commonly known by his stage name Rickman Manrick has made his first hip-hop song since he started off his career as he prepares for a massive year ahead. The singer came through with his latest offering that showcased his ability of wordplay and punchlines, “Luga-PandemicFreestyle.”
Rickman Manrick kicks off the record with a blistering one long verse where he lays down the business. While he rips through his adversaries with vengeance, Rickman reminds everyone that this yaer he’s keeping his foot on the neck of Uganda`s rap game.
Luga Pandemic was engineered, mixed, and mastered by the fast-rising audio producer and genius sound engineer, Producer B.I.T.
Rickman on Tuesday hinted on dropping an EP in February although he is yet to reveal the title, tracklist, artwork and actual dates of this project.
“I dropped a freestyle jam already for 2023 dubbed ‘Luga Pandemic’. I have an EP that is coming up very soon. I will drop it in Feb. So, you guys be ready for some amazing and awesome music”. Rickman says.
Rickman Manrick started singing in 2017 with his first Single Naki which was released 23 January 2018 with his second single Wakanda in April 2018 which introduced him in the Uganda music industry. He would later gain countrywide recognition after his hit single Bango.
It should also be remembered that Rickman is also a footballer and he once played for IF Football Club in Sweden where he was one of their top football players. He was also once on trials list for KCCA Football club which he joined in December 2021 on a short term contract.
